Sokolniki

The historical district of Moscow – Sokolniki needs reconstruction of the urban environment today. Projects for its implementation were prepared jointly by “Institute of urban planning and design” on the basis of concepts proposed by the design Studio “St. Arrow”. The main proposal was the creation of residential areas for the first time in the city, landscaped within the framework of the design concept “To the Park at hand”, which involves the improvement of residential areas in the formats of gardens and mini-parks, forming a single ecological framework. Local residents have the opportunity to take care of their own home territories, as a result of which the courtyards can become a kind of urban estates.
