Apple and Pear Blossom

he orchard is a symbol of creation and peace. The fruit is a symbol of continuity. An Apple tree and its fruit are always connected by an invisible and strong thread.

The garden is dedicated to the academician Yevgeny Nikolaevich Sedov – a world-famous fruit breeder who celebrated his 90th anniversary this year. In the difficult post-war years of General militarization, he chose the thorny path of a breeder, aiming to feed and fortify the population of his homeland. Yevgeny Nikolaevich is the author of dozens of varieties and the scab resistance gene – one of the most common diseases of Apple trees that spoil crops.

The design solution of the garden is based on the actual themes of low-maintenance and eco-friendliness. The garden combines both functional and decorative aspects. The shape of the superimposed layout of the site made of granite chips is similar to the smooth lines of a star. The main volume in the garden is created by an alley of Apple trees Veniaminovskoye (selection of Evgeny Nikolaevich).
