ach artist works with his own material. For Alena Akhmadullina this is cloth. For Oksana Khleborodova – land and plants. Lets’ imagine, what will happen if you combine one with the other? A gracefully thrown airy flap of cloth …It touched the surface, but as if still in flight: the edges are raised by the wind, and the folds retain the shape of the hand that released it. On the other hand, it’s the plasticity of the earth, as if the giant hand of the sculptor tasted the material by touch. The cloth should be cloth, so this is not just an earthen hill, but a volume that is hollow inside. The core of the hill is a small pavilion with unusual sculpturesque space, mirrors and mannequins. Spectacular light, breaking through the slots from the outside, complements the picture. Just like the cloth haute couture, this is a handmade garden, therefore, topiary forms are used here: several colored “pins” and “flowers” from junipers reminiscent of the famous embossed fur roses of Alyona Akhmadullina (author’s topiary by Sergey Bodrov). Small inclusions of heichera and early cereals give a warm shade in tune with the colors of the clothing collection. For plenty of people the work of Alena Akhmadullina is associated with a lovely fox that arises in a particular image in different models. Here, the sculpture grows out of the water as if a splash of water had taken the form of a fox.
