Slowing Down Time

ith the growth of the urban population, megacities are expanding. The speed and rhythm of people’s lives in them is so fast that it flashes pursuing a career, on the way to or from work. In order to slow down the rhythm and improve the quality of life, in large cities people need green areas in which they can relax, and slow down the flow of an invaluable life time. With my garden project, I would like to draw attention to this topic. Сreation of garden layout was inspired by an old pocket watch, or to be precise the device of its mechanism. Beautiful gears of different sizes, structural pads, connecting parts. The garden is circular in shape and includes two independent spaces:
1. The outer perimeter, which houses garden furniture, built into the sustaining walls, and plants that attract the attention of passers-by with their bright colors.
2. The inner part of the garden, which is a cozy sitting area, hidden by trellises and plants from the surrounding urban space.
